2024: Unprecedented Editorial Growth and the Emerging Impact of AI

Abstract

In 2024, Jangwa Pana solidifies its relevance as a platform for the dissemination and discussion of social sciences and humanities in Latin America and the Caribbean. Despite the challenges inherent to academic journals supported by the significant efforts of public universities, we have achieved significant growth in our national and international positioning, as evidenced by the increase in the number of contributions from authors with external institutional affiliations. Volume 23 is a testament to our commitment and offers us an opportunity to reflect on the internal dynamics of the journal, the reach of its calls for papers, the origin of its authors, and the thematic diversity of the published articles.
