Abstract

This article is a reflexion about the transformations and changes at buildings of residential use located on the Historical Zone of Merida by the new owners based on their culture. Most of them are retired persons who selected Merida as their new home. With they the area is revalued, but  on the other hand, the are modified, changing their architectural and urban Furthermore, social and urban impacts are generated and the city is promoted.
