Abstract

The present article picks up the most outstanding aspects in the investigation developed in the year 2004 in the University of the Magdalena**, centered in establishing the relationship among thought level, features of personality and academic averages in university students. The results hurtled by this study allowed to approach to a characterization of the students of the University of the Magdalena in connection with the thought level that they are related with high academic averages, taking us to establish tendencies for academic programs, fundamental to build strategies of cognitive intervention very in agreement with the detected necessities. Likewise, the discoveries offer an opportunity to revise the true sense of the academic yield as expression of the competitions that the student has developed through his formative process.
