Abstract
Diabetes is an illness, which has its origin in an organic alteration, however, and due to the complexity of human nature, there are some variables of psychological order that intervene during the evolution of the illness, not only do they depend on the mental, but also in the behavioural characteristics and abilities that patients have to confront their illness. Due to the above-mentioned fact, it is important to educate patients so that they will be able to accept treatments effectively , and thus, improve their quality of life. The intervention strategies are built, starting from the education, and evaluating behavioural, cognitive and emotional spheres in the patient, likewise, some abilities such as self-care, adherence to the treatment and confrontation resources towards stress; in order to design ideographical proposals of intervention in these patients.Downloads
