Abstract

Persistent hyperglycemia is the main characteristic of the diabetes mellitus and the trigger of the degenerative processes shown by patients at systemic level. Since the diabetes mellitus is a very common disease in our population, it becomes compulsory and necessary for the professionals in the health branch its integral han- dling, in order to improve the quality of life from those who have been affected. This revision topic is about biomolecular and biophysical processes caused by hyperglycemia in oral tissues, and the complications found at this level of the illness in diabetic patients.
