Abstract
The purpose of the research was to analyze the characteristics of the strategic educational management model in public institutions in the municipality Zona Bananera Colombia. The type of research was descriptive, under a non-experimental, transectional, field design. The population consisted of eight (8) managers and one hundred and forty-three (143) teachers. The technique of data collection used was the observation by means of a questionnaire survey designing forty-five (45) items, under the modality simple selection with five alternatives of answers always, almost always, sometimes, almost never and never. Being validated by five (5) experts in the area and obtaining a Cronbach Alpha value for the reliability of 0.760 categorized as high reliability. It is concluded that the model of strategic educational management should be deepened especially in relation to innovation, so it is recommended to update the managers of the institutions addressed on the components of the model of strategic educational management to improve organizational processes and with it the educational quality of the institution.References
