Abstract

Two new cases of cooperative foraging by Paratemnoides nidificator (Balzan, 1888), in ants Atta cephalotes (Linnaeus, 1758) and Dolichoderus bispinosus Olivier, 1792 are documented. These events were observed in Santa Inés locality, municipality of San Marcos, department of Sucre, Colombian Caribbean. This represents the first record of this behavior of food searching on these species of ants by this social species of pseudoscorpions. It increases the number of known species as preys and that also are part of the diet of this pseudoscorpion).
