Abstract

Abstract The emergence of the banana plantations and the movements are rhythmic processes in the history of Central America and the Caribbean Latin America during the first half of the twentieth century. What then is exposed is an overview of the organization and the agendas of the labor movement in Central America from a historiographical analysis. It is to weave the different approaches and cases in the region is contextualized in the interference of the United States and its economic and political interests in Central America, in a second period of liberal reform, and connections with a Modern State and Social. American historiography to this problem provides much more from economic and political approaches, scholars have been Americans and Costa Ricans who have been most interested in analyzing the problem from social and cultural perspectives. Now, try to present a comparative overview from the social.
